Prof. Börner gave a talk on forest conservation under the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products at FONEI
On September 24th, Jan Börner (University of Bonn) gave an invited talk on “Challenges and Opportunities for forest conservation under the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products” at the Plenary of the German Stakeholder Platform for Protein-based Feed (FONEI) in Berlin. FONEI brings together representatives from civil society, government, and industry around topics such as alternative protein sources and deforestation-free animal feed production. The presentation was informed, among others, by recent CLEVER research, such as “The EU regulation on deforestation-free products at odds with forest conservation in Brazil?” A commentary.“
